Abstract Painting Course (8 Sessions/20 hours) Limassol 02.07.2022
Go beyond realism and paint your ideas and emotions in this 20 hours Abstract painting course. Abstract art has become popular in the last century, since some artists began to paint shapes to create a composition completely detached from reality. Since that time many artists have experimented with this non-figurative art (also called non-objective art) which can also be found in other cultures of the past.
“We are all hungry and thirsty for concrete images. Abstract art will have been good for one thing: to restore its exact virginity in figurative art.” Salvador Dalì
Description
This course is designed to help you transform your passion for art into a profession. The Course was designed to teach geometric abstraction, the basis of which was laid by Piet Mondrian, lyrical abstraction, which follows the lessons of Wassily Kandinsky, and partial abstraction in which the reality is visibly and deliberately transformed.
In addition to this, students will be taught to master the different techniques that can be used for abstract painting, such as oil, acrylics, watercolor and mixed techniques. Students will then understand that behind an abstract painting there is always an idea, or a feeling, supported by a structure or by a central object of study previously developed through shapes, colors and lines.
During this course, students will develop and promote their own personal project on paper or canvas, using their talent and artistic skills.
